SALTAIR INN WATERFRONT B&B, Bar Harbor

The Saltair Inn has eight guest rooms. Each room features air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a DVD player, and a private bathroom with a shower, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. Suites offer views of Frenchman Bay. The Master Suite has a king-size bed, a gas fireplace, a sitting room with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a bathroom with a heated floor and a separate tiled shower with two shower heads. The Harbor Suite features a king-size chestnut bed, a gas fireplace, and access to the second floor balcony deck. The Acadia Suite offers a king-size oak bed, a gas fireplace, access to the second floor balcony deck, and a bathroom with an oversized Victorian claw-foot tub. The Cadillac Suite has an iron king-size bed, a 13-foot vaulted ceiling, and a bathroom with a cast-iron clawfoot tub and a heated porcelain floor. The Beehive Suite, on the third floor, features a queen-size mahogany sleigh bed and a heated mosaic tile floor in the bathroom. The Chart Room, on the second floor, offers a queen size bed and a gas fireplace. The Cottage Room features parque floors, a queen size bed, and a renovated bath with a heated travertine floor and an air-jet effervescent tub/shower with Spanish marble surround.

A full gourmet breakfast is included. Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM and includes fresh fruit, freshly baked muffins and pastries, juice, tea, coffee, and a hot dish such as wild Maine blueberry pancakes, eggs benedict, or a breakfast strata. Hot and cold cereals and yogurt are available upon request. Guests may also arrange to pick up a breakfast tray to enjoy in their room. Fresh-brewed, locally roasted gourmet coffee from Crooked Porch Coffee Roasters is ready by 7:00 AM. The inn has a sunroom with snacks and beverages available all day. Guests will find the Third Floor Coffee Lounge at the top of the stairs.

The Saltair Inn provides access to Acadia National Park, with 125 miles of hiking trails and 45 miles of carriage roads. Hiking & biking guides, books, movies, music and games are located in the guest parlor. The inn is near the Park Loop Road, the primary avenue for navigating through the eastern portion of the park by vehicle. Matt and Kristi can help you recommending trails.

Saltair Inn Waterfront B&B is in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine on the shores of Frenchman Bay. Hancock County-Bar Harbor Airport is 20 km away. It is three blocks from downtown shops and restaurants and a ten-minute walk from Bar Harbor's Village Green, town pier, and various shops, galleries, and restaurants. The Saltair Inn is near Saint Saviour's, graced by a collection of 42 stained glass windows, 10 of which are original works of art by Louis Comfort Tiffany. It is near a sand bar connecting the Saltair Inn to Bar Island, from which Bar Harbor adopted its name in 1918.

The Saltair Inn offers complimentary off-street parking and wireless internet access. Common areas include the living room, dining room, guest parlor, sunroom, and outdoor seating overlooking Frenchman Bay. All linens are washed, including blankets and comforters. Clocks and DVD players will be provided if needed. Hair dryers are in the bathroom. The inn offers locally roasted coffee, tea, spring water, and ice. All rooms have central air conditioning, streaming platforms, and cable TV.
